Beauty is skin deep.. well said.. Well, i many times wonder, does beauty has anything to do with being Fair..!! Does your skin color affect ur beauty?? Well, the answer unfortunately is a YES.. Today we do differentiate people not only based on their caste but also with the color of their skin.. its fairly sad that today even the educated youth fail to look beyond the surface.. Still in India the in cosmetics Industry, Skin fairness products have 70% of market share. I am not against this as fair may be more attractive, even to me, but many of us fail to define beauty in its true sense..
I was going thru a campaign " Dark is Beautiful", where it was a contest on people writing on the topic.. Would like to share the winning article: it was a story of a young girl where she tried hard to get a fair skin color by using techniques like bleech and other cosmetic treatments hurting herself.. But finally, she explored her beauty which lied in her talent of making paintings and at the end, she came forward as Beautiful as her paintings use to be..
Many times we just make decisions by looking what is Visible to us, But the best decisions are made with eyes closed and staright from the heart..!!! So everything said and done, the fact is " BEAUTY LIES IN THE EYES OF THE BEHOLDER"!!! Remember even Lord Krishna was Dark and still managed to have a million Fans in HIS list...!!!
